Gina has worked as Co-Directer of Have a Heart for 3 1/2 years.  In this time she has fostered and found homes for countless cats and kittens.  Not only does Gina find homes for Tehachapi’s homeless pets, she also helps Lake Isabella Animal Shelter find homes for their animals.  They have found Gina, and Have a Heart, to be the only rescue that assists them with this great need.  Gina not only rescues animals, but runs a business as well –Books and Crannies.  Within Books and Crannies she built a Cattery where customers can not only browse the books, but also the cats and kittens that are up for adoption.  This requires much sacrifice within her personal life, as well as her business life.  Also, each month she makes an all day trip to transport 20-25 dogs and cats to be spayed or neutered at the Hope Foundation in Fresno. Gina provides a great service to our community and has been very dedicated to the cause of homeless pets in Tehachapi over the years.
